IMARIBO S.A. Industria e Comercio, was born in the city of Tangará – SC in 1943 producing sawn wood and supplying the Brazilian market mainly the state of São Paulo, where construction was in constant development.

With the increasing demand, it had an expansion in the production and the necessity of raw material. In 1948, a new sawmill was built in Espinilho - SC, where currently is called the city of Monte Carlo.

With the natural and intrepid entrepreneurship of its proprietors, the small sawmill grew and turned into a lumber industry, currently installed on an area of 207.000 square meters, with an constructed area of 20.000 square meters. Its current productive capacity is 150.000m3 per year of sawn lumber, kiln dried, and with its sales volume balanced between the Brazilian and international market.

“We firmly believe that only a strong partnership between capital and labor is the means the Group needs to meet the growth targets and, above all, to make the dream of its founders come true as well as to keep alive the ideal of one person most responsible for Imaribo’s growth – our father, Nelson Pizzani”. Paulo Roberto Pizani, President.
